  1. COMPETING MODELS:
    1. Races are open to 1994 through 2008 American brand manufactured hardtop passenger cars.
    2. The minimum permitted wheelbase is 103". The maximum permitted wheelbase is 112".
    3. Tire tread width for both front and rear wheels will be 65" +/- (plus or minus) 1". This tread width may be measured with a tape or gauge.

  2. BODIES:
    1. All cars must have complete steel, aluminum or fiberglass bodies and will be of stock appearance and dimensions. Fiberglass roofs will be permitted.
    2. The minimum driver and passenger window opening will be 15" for all cars.
    3. Plastic or rubber noses will be permitted, and plastic or rubber bumpers and hoods are optional.
    4. The maximum rear spoiler height will be 5", no wider than the quarter panels or maximum of 60", the maximum height of the spoiler from the ground will be 41", and no side spoliers will be permitted.
    5. Rocker panels and skirts maybe no lower than the frame rails of the car (minimum 4").
    6. The car's body must appear to be mounted level, and no raising of the rear quarter panels will be permitted.
    7. The car's minimum height will be 47" and will be measured with the driver in the car. THERE WILL BE NO TOLERANCE TO THIS RULE.

  3. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
    1. Magnetos not permitted. No crank trigger ignition.
    2. Any battery operated. MSD permitted.

  4. ENGINES:
    1. GM-604 Crate Motor (unaltered)- 2700 pounds.
    2. GM-Wet Sump 23 degree GM Heads- 2750 pounds.
    3. GM-Dry Sump after Market Heads- 2800 pounds.
    4. GM-Dry Sump Aluminum Heads- 2850 pounds.
    5. FORD-Dry Sump after market heads 2825.
    6. NO ANTIFREEZE IS PERMITTED. ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE WATER/COOLANT RECOVERY SYSTEM.
    7. PISTONS & CONNECTING RODS: Only flat-top or dished style pistons are permitted. No portion of the piston may protrude from the cylinder bore (zero deck clearance). Any type of magnetic steel type connecting rod is permitted.
    8. Dry sump oil systems permitted, an additional 50 pounds must be added to the total weight of the car. Cars must maintain crank height.

  5. ENGINE LOCATION:
    The engine's forward-most spark plug hole may be a maximum of 3" setback as measured from the center of ball joints. Ford engine setback 4" maximum. CRANK HEIGHT: 10" from ground on all cars.

  6. CARBURETOR & INTAKE:
    1. 390 part # 80507-1 or 500 CFM # 4412 will be allowed on any motor.
    2. Maximum 1" carburetor spacer plate.
    3. Any cast aluminum or iron intake of conventional design commercially available may be used.

  7. TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH:
    Transmission must be OEM type with working reverse and idle in gear. No direct drives. Any after market transmission, such as a Jerico, are permitted. Multiple disc clutch allowed. 5" minimum clutch diameter. All pressure plates and clutch discs must be made out of steel or aluminum. Drive shaft must be steel or aluminum.

  8. FUEL SYSTEM:
    1. Stock fuel pumps only will be permitted. No electric pumps will be permitted.
    2. Fuel that may be mixed with water is not permitted.
    3. The car's fuel tank must be located in the rear deck space of the car.
    4. Fuel cells are mandatory with 22-gallon capacity and a 8" ground clearance. All fuel cells must meet ALL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS.
    5. NO FUEL ADDITIVES ARE PERMITTED.

  9. HEADERS & MUFFLERS:
    Tubular-type headers with collector and exhaust pipe extending rearward past driver. Mufflers are not required.

  10. WEIGHT LIMIT:
    1. All Super Late Model cars must weigh according to motor rules.
    2. All weights are measured with the driver in the car before and and after the race.
    3. All cars permitted to have a maximum 58.0% left side weight at anytime. There will be no tolerance allowed prior to the race or after qualifying for weights or weight percentages. Any car not complying with the weight rule will lose it's qualifying position and must meet the minimum weight requirement prior to the race. The car will then start the feature in the rear of the field. All cars must be weighed immediately before or after qualifying at track official's discretion. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Any car refusing to be weighed will not be permitted to race.
    4. After the race, all cars are allowed one (1) pound per lap for fuel burn off. After the race, all cars will be allowed a 5 pound weight tolerance from the minimum weight as determined by track officials for the particular race, which may be used either to satisfy the minimum vehicle weight or maximum left side % after the race, BUT NOT BOTH! A fine of $ 10.00 per pound will be assessed for lead coming out of any car in an event. Blocks of lead must be painted white with the car number clearly visible. Lost lead must be picked up by a track official from the speedway. Refusal to pay weight loss fine will result in a disqualification, and you will receive no monies or points for that event. You will not be allowed to compete in other events until fine is paid.
    5. No suspension or weight adjustments from interior.

  11. TIRES:
    1. Track rules apply.
    2. The maximum permitted wheel width is 10". Only steel wheels are permitted.
    3. TIRE SOFTENERS/CONDITIONERS NOT PERMITTED IN ANY DIVISION.

  12. ROLL CAGE & ROLL BARS:
    All roll cages must meet Newport Speedway safety regulations and specifications.

  13. FUEL:
    A mandatory purchase of five (5) gallons of fuel from the speedway is required for each feature in which you are a participant.

  14. SHOCKS:
    1. Non adjustable shocks only.
    2. No remote reservoirs.
    3. No remote control shocks.
    4. No shock adjustments may be made from the cockpit of the car.
    5. Any type of shock is permitted as long as the shock(s) has to be removed from the car to be adjusted and the shock does not retail for more than $ 300.00 excluding tax.
    6. Only one (1) shock per wheel is permitted.
    7. Any protested shock may be purchased for $ 300.00. Refusal to sell the shock will result in a disqualification and driver will forfeit all points and pay for that night's event.
